Therapist In Mind was founded by Mahiboob Syed-Vardhan, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State with nearly three decades of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families.

Her work focuses on helping people understand their thoughts, manage emotional stress, and navigate life challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Mahiboob works with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and life transitions.

Her approach is person-centered and recognizes that every individual’s experiences, background, and goals are unique. She integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy with a holistic perspective focused on emotional clarity, resilience, and forward movement.

Coming from a multicultural background herself, she is attentive to cultural context and the diverse experiences individuals bring into therapy.
